Wrinkle Reduction

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) goes beyond traditional creams and major surgeries to improve sun-damaged skin and other facial concerns safely and effectively with minimal "down time" or interference with an active lifestyle.

The passage of time and the pleasures and stresses of daily life, along with environmental pollution can cause changes to our skin - such as:

  • Sun and Smoke Damage
  • Enlarged Pores
  • Broken Capillaries
  • Mild Acne Scars
  • Fine Lines & Wrinkles
  • Pigmented Freckles and Age Spots
  • Dull Complexions
  • Uneven Pigmentation
  • Liver Spots

What does Skin Rejuvenation do?

The Resolve Clinic uses the latest non-invasive laser technology to eliminate superficial signs of ageing including freckles, broken capillaries, rosacea, age spots and fine lines and wrinkles.

The result is beautiful skin which is:
  • Tighter
  • Firmer
  • Radiant
What are the Advantages of Skin Rejuvenation?

The advantages of Photorejuvenation over skin resurfacing methods like laser therapy are tremendous, particularly for a younger population with mild to moderate skin damage. There is no prolonged recovery time. Treatment takes only 45 minutes. The procedure is administered in a series of four to six treatment sessions, providing gradual improvement with low risk and excellent long-term results. In nearly all cases, Photorejuvenation is considerably more affordable than other cosmetic surgery options available today.

How many treatments are needed?

We usually recommend 4-6 treatments, 2 weeks apart. However results can be seen just after one treatment which is a good option for a special occasion as it stimulates collegen in the skin to give u beautiful, fresher, younger looking skin. Vast improvement to the skin will begin about 2-4 weeks into the treatments and the skin will continue to improve for 16 weeks after the final treatment.

How do I prepare for a treatment?

Patients should avoid tanning on the treatment area roughly one month ahead of treatment to avoid excessive light absorption in the skin. Immediately after the treatment the skin is particularly sensitive to UV light and strong sunlight should be avoided for at least 2 weeks. High factor sun lotions can be used.

What skin types can be treated?

All skin types can be treated with the IPL machine except black skin type. For this skin type a natural skin peel maybe recommended for skin rejuvenation. Please enquire for more details.

Why do I need a Test Patch?

This is to check your skin suitability and to ensure there are no adverse reactions to the treatment. A period of 2 - 5 days must be left between this and commencement of treatment.
